Moving
The Colorado Real Estate Contract (Paragraph 2.3 Dates And Deadlines. Items No.26 & 27) indicates the Possession Date and Possession Time as agreed to by Buyer and Seller. This can be the Closing Date or a few days after Closing.
- Contact movers, truck rentals, storage companies and/or box rentals to obtain cost estimates. Sign contracts with them after all contract contingencies are settled (home inspections, loan approval, etc).
- Seller plan final house cleaning for after move-out and contact utility companies for change of ownership. The Buyer will contact utility companies to execute service at new address.
- Both Buyer and Seller make postal change of address. Plan food and drink items for moving day as well as sleeping arrangements for that first night of the move.
