The real estate story of 2012 in the Front Range continues to surround the lack of inventory and many buyers entering the market soaking up the limited quality homes on the market. This has led to several sellers we represented receiving a favorable price and terms on their homes but on the flip side it has created challenges for several buyers we have represented successfully and others that are still seeking a suitable home. This month I wanted to touch on some of the reasons why we have a lack of inventory in our market place. This is more anecdotal to what I am seeing in the field and in practice and not a data driven scientific study. As one of my clients this weekend said, residential real estate tends to be “more art than science.”

Once again Colorado cities and towns have been recognized as some of the best places to live in the United States.  In fact, Louisville, CO was named the best place to live for the 2nd time in 3 years by CNN and Money Magazine.  Colorado tied for the most cities on the list, has four other cities (Superior, Parker, Black Forest, Castle Rock) in Colorado ranked among the top 100 cities in America.  Westminster, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Arvada missed the list this, but have been listed as top places to live in the past few years.  While I don't understand how a city can rank in the top 20 one year and not in the top 100 the next, but I guess they do have to limit how many cities are from one state.

Superior Morgul Classic returns this Memorial Weekend on May 28-29 with another two full days of bike races and festival entertainment for everyone to enjoy.  This race was a great success last year and brought people to our community to enjoy the festivities. 

This year there will be organized, challenging bicycle events that will include Saturday's Summit Criterium and Sunday's Morgul-Bismarck Road Race. The Criterium race is a short speed race through the Summit Neighborhood and there will be food vendors, entertainment, kid's activities, and music, all along Coalton and the Criterium course.  Sunday is the  Morgul-Bismarck Circuit Road Race
