It's that time of year again when we can all enjoy the annual Cherry Creek Art Festival. This years events will be July 6, 7 & 8. For those three days, Colorado's award winning and world-class festival will feature some of the best art, culinary demonstrations, interactive family activities on Artivy Avenue and the best part is that the festival's non-profit mission provides art education and outreach programs in local area schools.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival takes place July 6, 7, 8, 2012 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), in Denver’s Cherry Creek North Shopping District, from 2nd to 3rd Avenues, on the six streets between Clayton and Steele Streets. The fun starts Friday at 10 am and runs until 8pm. According to S&P Case-Shiller Home Prices Index Denver Metro homes prices increased in January 2012 compared to January 2011.  This is the first time in the last 19 months the Denver Metro real estate market has seen prices increased from the previous year.  While the increase was small, only 0.2%, it’s another sign over a changing real estate market in the Denver Metro area.

Not only does the Old Spaghetti Factory have delicious food but the design of the building and the antiques are an amazing eye full.

This restaurant is international started  by the owners wife Sally. In order to furnish the first restaurant she went to garage sales and scrounged around for furniture to decorate the restaurant.  To this day she supervises every restaurant’s decorating with antiques and replicas of antiques.

The locations of restaurants are in old buildings or warehouses in the downtown areas where rents are cheap so the price of the food is reasonable.

We like eating in the bright red train car.  We don’t get to do that every day.

The Denver Zoo Light Show 

The Denver Zoo has the most amazing light show every year as a tradition.

The Zoo sits on 80 acres in in Denver City Park located at 23 Ave and Colorado Blvd.
The Zoo was built in 1896 and there are 3500 animals with 650 different species.
