Enjoy Colorado This Weekend In Honor Of Get Outdoors Day

Enjoy a beautiful spring day in Colorado and take advantage of free entry* to all National Parks in honor of Get Outdoors Day this Saturday.  Head out to Rocky Mountain National Park, or Sand Dunes National Park and remind yourself why we are so privileged to be living in such an amazing place.

If you want to stick to the city this weekend, you can still enjoy the Get Outdoors Colorado event at Denver's City Park.  There will be rock climbing, kayaking, live music, dancing, fishing, canoeing, hula hooping and much more.  The event is free and promises to be a fun event for all ages.

Raiders of the Lost Ark at sunset...

How long has it been since you've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark?  Too long?  Come join us tomorrow night and watch it under the stars.  There will be live music, friends and fun.  Admission is free and it's located at the Prairie Center in Brighton off of 136th and I-76.  Bring a chair or blanket to get comfy and join us at 7pm for music and the movie will start at sunset.

A Little Review About the 4th of July- Places to See Fireworks in Metro Denver

The 4 of July is not only a holiday with fireworks, BBQ’s, parties and so on ...it really does have a true meaning that I had not really paid attention to since I got out of high school.

A LITTLE REVIEW.......

During the American Revolution we separated from Great Britian on July 2 1776.

The Declaration of Independence was prepared by a committee of 5 being led by Thomas Jefferson and approved on July 4 1776.

The soldiers were so happy they shot off guns with a lot of screams of happiness.  The gunfire has now turned into fireworks.

In 1928 congress changed Independence Day to a paid Federal Holiday.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were presidents and died on the same day July 4th 1826.
