According to S&P Case-Shiller Home Prices Index Denver Metro homes prices increased in January 2012 compared to January 2011.  This is the first time in the last 19 months the Denver Metro real estate market has seen prices increased from the previous year.  While the increase was small, only 0.2%, it’s another sign over a changing real estate market in the Denver Metro area. 

Previously, we talked about all the signs pointing to a rapidly changing real estate market in the Denver Metro area, except an increase in prices.  Inventory levels, days-on-market, and homes under contract all pointed to an improving real estate market for months.  We should see Denver Metro home prices continue to rise in 2012 given the pent up demand for homes in the

Pulte Homes has sold it's interest in Anthem Ranch and Anthem Highlands in Broomfield to a private company, Wheelock Street Capital.  The cash transaction included all the remaining developed lots and undeveloped land in the Anthem community.  Anthem is the largest master planned neighborhood in Broomfield, CO.  

Pulte has built over 1,300 homes in Anthem since the community was announced in 2005, which is less then half of the homes planned for Anthem.  While nothing has been decided, it does appear a new builder will be selected to build the remaining 1,500 homes in Anthem.
