Aurora Moving Tips - When Price Is A Concern

Moving can be a challenging experience in itself, and if price is a concern you can use these Aurora moving tips to help save a few dollars.

1. Make some extra money for the move

To help cover some of your moving costs hold a garage sale. You have probably uncovered quite a few things that you are ready to get rid of when you started packing for the move, so now would be a great time to sell them at a garage sale.

Here is a great article we wanted to pass along Colorado home owners...

How to Set Your Water Heater Temperature the Right Way

by Martin Newmark

Setting your water heater temperature is simple, you turn the knob. But wait, where is that knob? How much should you turn it? How can you set it so that you use the least amount of energy and still not run out of hot water in your shower or bath? This article will answer those questions.

On a gas water heater the thermostat is on the gas valve at the front of the water heater. It looks like this:

On an electric water heater there are usually two and they are under two covers on the side of the water heater. Be sure to turn off the power to an electric water heater before opening these panels.

Broomfield OK's Prospect Ridge Academy charter school

By Joe Rubino, Camera Staff WriterPosted: 05/25/2011 08:48:28 AM MDT

BROOMFIELD -- For supporters of Prospect Ridge Academy charter school, it seems the third City Council meeting was a charm. That and a new construction site.

On Tuesday night, the Broomfield City Council unanimously approved agreements that will allow Prospect Ridge Academy, an Adams 12 district-approved charter school, to begin construction of a new 45,750-square-foot school building in the city's North Park neighborhood.

The support comes after two contentious City Council meetings, in November and February, where the council and school officials butted heads over neighborhood zoning regulations, safety concerns and

The Simple Life

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011 at 10:22am. 301 Views, 0 Comments.

If you have tried to refinance or purchase a home in Colorado recently you know the process requires much more paperwork then it did in the past.  Investors and underwriters are more diligent when underwriting files and require everything to be documented and explained.   Mortgage investors are especially meticulous when it pertains to income, assets, or credit.

Documenting assets, specifically bank statements, is probably the biggest change in the mortgage industry over the last few years.  Once upon a time you would provide your mortgage lender with bank statements verifying you have funds for down payment and/or enough liquid assets to cover two month of your mortgage payment.  In the rare instance if you had a large deposit of over a few

Let's be Respectful of Water Restrictions

If you live in the city of Aurora the water restrictions went into effect on May 1st.

Aurora has always had plenty of water because the residents have been very respectful of the restrictions.

Aurora residents cannot water more than 3 times a week or between the hours of 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.  City of Aurora Water Restrictions
